About the Role
If you are looking for a company that can provide you with the opportunity to expand your knowledge and skillset allowing you to grow within the company, then this position is for you!
As a key part of our warehouse team, you will play a significant role in managing stock movement and control through packing lists and delivery dockets to maintain accuracy. This includes making safe deliveries to customers and pickups from suppliers.
Key responsibilities will include:
Plan routes to meet delivery schedules. The trips are primarily Sydney Metro and close regional drop-offs within a 2-3 hours radius
Ensure safe loading and unloading of cargo on trucks, and ensure cargo is secured
Follow safe and national large truck regulations and standards
Complete documentation for mileage and cargo; keep track of mileage, fuel and toll expenses; confirm inventory matches shipping documents
Refuel the vehicle and check or replace oil as needed
Complete daily Pre-Start documentation for all trucks
Report any incidents, accidents or vehicle issues encountered when on the road
Maintain vehicle equipment
Assisting with daily inspections of forklifts
Ensure the completion of work within the timeframe set out as per job specifications, and including a high level of quality assurance
Picking and packing of components required for despatch using approved company procedure and within project schedules
Assist with monitoring stock levels. Ensure adequate stock levels are maintained in accordance with dispatch requirements
Assisting with booking pickups, completing despatch documentation and loading trucks or containers for the transportation of projects throughout Australia and overseas
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
As the successful applicant, you will possess:
HR Driver’s Licence, Construction White Card and Forklift Licence
Crane Licence to operate a truck-mounted crane or willingness to obtain it
5+ years of professional driving experience or related work experience
Must have a clean driving record
Proficient at driving, manoeuvring and parking large vehicles
Physically fit and able to sit for extended periods and to perform basic truck maintenance
Reliable, hardworking and effective communicator and team player
Able to work on Saturdays and extended hours if required
