About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and driven Sales Manager – Fire and Building Services to grow our presence across the New Zealand market.
This is a key role focused on developing relationships and securing opportunities with commercial plumbers, fire contractors, hydraulic consultants, builders, association partners and specification consultants across both the North and South Islands.
Key Responsibilities
Make sales calls to major Plumbers, hydraulic consultants, builders, and asset owners to promote and develop our full range of Tanks to the Building Service tank market
Actively conduct face-to-face sales meetings with existing and new clients frequently to ensure we maintain existing customers and build relationships and opportunities with new customers.
Prepare and submit accurate quotations in line with company guidelines and meet customer requirements.
Review customer technical information and prepare technical data sheets and briefs for our estimating team to prepare costings.
‘Close the deal' – commit time to successfully follow up, close out, and secure the opportunity
Achieve sales targets and budgets
Work closely with estimating, sales and operational teams to deliver successful projects and outcomes
Maintain accurate sales opportunities, forecasts and customer information in Salesforce CRM
Achieve agreed sales targets and budgets
Travel throughout New Zealand to meet customers and attend industry events
Desired Skills and Experience
About You
Proven sales experience within the hydraulic, fire and building services or commercial building industries
Having previously worked in, or having strong knowledge and understanding of, the tanking industry is highly advantageous
Having strong knowledge and connections within the plumbing, hydraulics and commercial building industries
Technical background in industry-related products - Construction, Engineering, Water
Understanding in how to interpret and work with New Zealand and Australian Standards and commercial contracts is highly advantageous
Excellent communication skills with the ability to negotiate outcomes
Creative problem-solving and proactive thinking to challenge the status quo and drive progressive change
A trade qualification or suitable industry experience, preferably within the tank, plumbing or hydraulics industry
Ability to collaborate and influence internally and externally as part of a team
Ability to travel frequently to service interstate regions as required
Demonstrated history of servicing the specification/consultancy market
Strong Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel skills, and presentation creating and delivery skills
